About the Department

The department of physics was established in the year 1995.The department has a team of well-qualified staff with M.Phil and P.hD degrees. The Department of physics strives to move ahead with the study and practice of the emerging dynamic needs. The Department foster creative expression and critical thinking of students, and integrate scholastic excellence in learning with discipline.

In addition to disciplinary instruction and practice, it offers pedagogically meaningful curricular and co-curricular which kindle the passion of learning in the minds of budding engineers and to prepare them innovative and creative to face the competitive world. The department has well equipped laboratory with all modern instruments. The department provides individual attention for character-building, personality development along with educational and research excellence.

The Physics laboratory is well equipped to cater the needs of students. It is equipped with modern equipments pertaining to the curriculum and syllabi of Anna University Chennai.
