About the Department
- The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a unique centre of MEC established in 2020. This Department offers a 4-year B. Tech (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) Programme. Which is essential for the present digital world that incorporates the training and profound expertise on most recent innovative methodologies. The objective of this course is to equip students in creating workable solutions for issues faced by society through Service-Learning Modules. The program encompasses students to get expertise in critical skills such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Data Science, Advanced Analytics and Mathematical modeling.
- The student intake was increased from 60 to 120 in the academic year 2023 – 2024.
- The student intake was increased from 120 to 180 in the academic year 2024 – 2025.
- The department faculties have good number of publications and sponsored R&D projects.
- Sophisticated and latest software have been purchased to enable the faculty as well as students to pursue their research / project works.
- Headed by an experienced Associate Professor and supported by 18 dedicated faculty members.
- Most of the faculty members are members of professional bodies like ISTE, IE(I), CSI, etc. and are actively participating in the various activities of professional bodies.
