The Mahendra Engineering College (MEC) founded in the year 1995 by a dedicated philanthropist Mr.M.G.Bharathkumar, who started the institution with a vision and mission of facilitating technical education for rural based students. The institution is grown from strength to strength and taken shape with 7 U.G. courses and 4 P.G. courses in engineering and technology apart from M.C.A. and M.B.A. course. The institution is regarded as "Temple of Learning" which speaks volumes of conducive atmosphere and environment available for the learners.

The students found the institution as a final destination for learning, enhancing skills and also to gain knowledge. The Management has taken utmost care in developing the infrastructure needed and the dedicated faculty and staff make the teaching and learning as a pleasure to the students.
