Mahendra Engineering College is committed towards social and national responsibilities; bearing this in mind we have raised the NCC Air force wing from 2004-05 onwards. We believe that an individual will possess an adoring personality only by integrating him/her in activities like NCC.

 

Mahendra Engineering College is equipped with several infrastructuralfacilities  for NCC training programme and provides ample opportunities to the cadets by way of conducting firing camps, drill practices, personality development and voluntary service programmes.

 

The objective and vision of our NCC wing is to create awareness among the student community regarding its importance towards nation building. Besides an NCC cadet is presented with a plethora of job opportunities in reputed government and public sector concerns. We have in mind to train students towards participating in republic day parade and peoples exchange programme. Mahendra NCC wing fine tunes the personality of a person in total and equips him mentally to face various challenges that he may encounter in his life.

 

2006 to 2007

  1. Ten cadets participated in the “NCC Combined Annual” Training camp at GCE Salem from July 20 to 31st July.
  2. Ten cadets participated in the “IGC-VSC Camp” at Air force Station, Chennai from 11th Aug to 22nd Aug 2006.
  3. A Special Parade was conducted to celebrate Independence Day on 15th August 2006
  4. Seven cadet donated blood for “Govt .M.K.M.L. Hospital, Salem at 1-11-2006.
  5. A Special Parade was conducted to celebrate Republic day on 26th January 2007.
  6. Fifty cadets attended a one day annual range classification program at Yercaud Foot Hills on 06-02-2007.
  7. Twelve cadets attended B certificate examination on 2-3-2007 and 3-3-2007.
  8. Two cadets attended C certificate examination on 12-3-2007.

 

2007 to 2008

  1. Seventeen cadets participated in the “Combined Annual Training Camp-CUM-RDC      Selection Camp”, at Kandasamy Kandar’s College, Vellore from 8th August to 19th August 2007.
  2. F/CDT M.Balathandayuthum secured merit certificate in Aeromodelling.
  3. A Special Parade was conducted to celebrate Independence day on 15th August 2007.
  4. Five cadets participated in “CATL-CUM-ICG-USC 2007” at Thiruveni Academy – Vadakkupatty from 23rd Aug to 3rd Sep 2007.
  5. Regular Parade was conducted during 2007.
  6. Nineteen cadets attended ‘B’ certificate exam at CSI  Polytechnique, Salem.
  7. Six cadets attended C certificate examination.

 

2008 to 2009

  1. Five cadets participated in “RDC Selection Camp” held at Tirpur from 12th July to 22nd July 2008.
  2. Twenty cadets participated in “NCC Rally” held at Salem at July 24th.
  3. Eight cadets attended B certificate examination on 26th and 27th July at “GCE” Salem.
  4. Twelve cadets attended one-day annual range classification program at “GCE” Salem.
  5. Twenty One cadets participated, in “Combined Annual Training Camp-CUM-IGL-VSC Selection Camp” at Sri Vidya Mandir Matriculation.Hr.Sec.School at Salem steel plant from August 8th to 17th August 2008.
  6. A Special Parade was conducted to celebrate Independence Day on 15th August 2008.
