Glass Painting

Venue : Bharathiyar Arangam, Annexure Building, Mahendra Engineering College.

The WID club of our Mahendra Engineering College has organized an event titled “Glass Painting” for two days for our girl students and staff members. The program was on 13 and 14 /1 /2011. Students of about 40 members from our college have participated and benefitted. The resource person was Mrs.Sutha Lakshman, form The Best Art, Salem. 
The program was co-ordinated by Mrs.S.Umamaheswari, HOD / Electronics and Instrumentation and Mrs.C.Dhavamani, HOD / Aeronautical Engineering Departments. Staff members Mrs.Jayanthi, Ms.Revathi, Mrs.Priya form ECE Department, Mrs. Vaijayathimala and Mrs.Radha / Dept. of CSE and Mrs.Kanagavalli, Ms.Kalaiselvi Mrs.Pragadeeswari from English Department have also participated.

Kaya Kalapam (YOGA Program)

Venue : Meditation Hall , Annexure Building, Mahendra Engineering College.

The WID club of our Mahendra Engineering College has organized one day YOGA Program  named “ KAYA KALPAM”  for the benefit of our staff members on  04.06.2011. The resource person was Mr.Srinivasan, Professor, The world Community Service Centre (VAALGA VALAMUDAN), Mettur. He appreciated our college management for granting permission to arrange such kind of event in our premises. He insisted the need of practicing YOGA and Meditation to lead a healthy and wealthy life. 

Staff members of about 30 from MEC, MIT and MIET were participated and learned. There was a good f eedback from our staff members. They were also requested to conduct such kind of program in future. The program was co-ordinated by Mrs.S.Umamaheswari, HOD / Electronics and Instrumentation and Mrs.C.Dhavamani, HOD / Aeronautical Engineering Departments.

Reverse Glass Thanjur Painting

Venue : Bharathiyar Arangam, Annexure Building, Mahendra Engineering College.

The WID club of our Mahendra Engineering College has organized three days programme titled “Reverse Glass Thanjur Painting” for our girl students. The program was conducted on 19, 20 & 21/7/2011(Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Students of about 45 members from MEC, MIT and MIET have participated with more interest. The resource person was Mrs.Sutha Lakshman, from The Best Art, Salem. 
The program was co-ordinated by Mrs.S.Umamaheswari, HOD / Electronics and Instrumentation and Mrs.C.Dhavamani, HOD / Aeronautical Engineering Departments.
